OVERVIEW

The intelligent systems powered by artificial intelligence play an important role in realizing socially aware computing in various aspects, such as sensing, processing, and supporting human interactions. The Intelligent Systems refer broadly to computer embedded or controlled systems, machines and devices that possess a certain degree of intelligence along with feature of interactivity. These systems were first developed for use in industries to enable the automation of routine tasks to improve production and quality. Apart from the industries, automation, space, robotics, power systems, energy, remote sensing, etc., current applications of intelligent systems exist in all sectors where they deliver social as well as economic benefits. Due to large-scale proliferation of inexpensive computing, their interconnectivity, and wide-spread use of Internet, as well as availability of appropriate reliable software, particularly from open-source channel, more and more areas are adapting intelligence in their systems. These areas range from simple air-conditioners and washing machines to ignition control in vehicles, automobile navigation systems, power generation and distribution in large urban areas, to micro-power grids in VLSIs, and mobiles with applications like tracking, navigation and Google-Maps. These systems are on the way to help better human health, safety, city resource management, environment monitoring, and even intelligent transport systems.

OBJECTIVE

Looking to the wide spread applications and its vast potential, “JIET School of Engineering and Technology for Girls”, has decided to hold this National Conference on Intelligent Systems, aimed to provide an opportunity for the researchers from vast areas, like, academia, industry and defence to meet and discuss the latest solutions, scientific results and methods in solving intriguing problems in the areas of Intelligence Systems and their real world applications.
